Egypt Day Tours FAQs
What is included in the tour price?
Our day tours are designed to be as inclusive as possible, so you can focus on enjoying the experience without worrying about extra costs. The price generally covers:
Private or shared air-conditioned transportation to and from your hotel or meeting point.
A professional, licensed Egyptologist guide who will bring the sites to life with stories, historical context, and insider knowledge.
Entrance fees to all the sites mentioned in your itinerary.
Bottled water to keep you refreshed throughout the day.
Lunch at a quality local restaurant (for most full-day tours).
The only things not included are personal expenses, optional activities, tips, and any items not specifically mentioned in your tour description.
What should I wear for the tour?
Egypt has a warm climate for most of the year, so lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen are ideal. We recommend:
Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with good grip, as you may be walking on uneven ground.
A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection.
Modest attire for religious or cultural sites — shoulders and knees should be covered for both men and women.
A light jacket or sweater in the cooler months (November–February), especially for early morning starts.
If you’re visiting in summer, be prepared for high temperatures and stay hydrated.
Will there be an English-speaking guide?
Yes. All our tours are led by professional guides who are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and fluent in English. Many of our guides also speak additional languages such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian. If you require a guide in a specific language, please let us know when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Are meals or drinks provided?
We provide bottled water for every guest to ensure you stay hydrated during the tour. On most full-day tours, lunch is included at a carefully selected local restaurant serving authentic Egyptian cuisine. Vegetarian and vegan options can be arranged if requested in advance. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, and personal snacks are not included unless stated in the itinerary.
Is hotel pickup and drop-off included?
Yes. We offer complimentary pickup and drop-off from any location you choose — whether it’s your hotel, airport, train station, or a private address. For accommodations outside the main tourist areas, there may be a small additional fee to cover extra travel time and fuel. In some cases, we may arrange a central meeting point to save time, but we are flexible and will confirm all details with you after booking.
Do I need to bring my passport?
We recommend carrying your passport or at least a clear photocopy during the tour. While it’s not required at every site, certain attractions and domestic flights within Egypt may ask for ID. Keeping it with you avoids any delays.
Is the tour suitable for children and elderly travelers?
Yes, our tours are family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Children under a certain age may receive discounted rates. For elderly travelers or those with mobility issues, we can adapt the tour pace and route to minimize stairs or long walks. Please inform us in advance so we can prepare accordingly, such as arranging wheelchairs or shaded rest stops.
Do you offer private or group tours?
Yes. We offer both:
Private tours give you a dedicated vehicle and guide, allowing for a personalized experience at your own pace.
Small group tours are more social, cost-effective, and ideal for meeting other travelers.
You can choose your preferred option when booking.
What time does the tour start and end?
Most day tours begin between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, with exact pickup times depending on your hotel location and the day’s itinerary. Tours usually finish between 1:00 and 2:00 PM, but this can vary depending on traffic and how much time we spend at each site. We provide you with a confirmed schedule once your booking is complete.
How long will we spend at each site?
The time at each site varies depending on its size, historical significance, and the pace of the group. On average, you will have between 1.5 to 2 hours at each location, allowing time for exploration, photographs, and guide explanations. Our guides are flexible and can adjust the schedule slightly based on your interests, while ensuring the full itinerary is covered.
If there is a place you want to visit in Egypt that you don’t see here, we can still take you!
Any of our tours can be Tailor Made and customized to fit your travel preference and schedule.

The Best Tour Guide In Egypt
“Recommending the services of Abdelrahman Amin, the best tour guide in Egypt. He’s with me at the Temple of Hathor at Dendera in the photograph on the left. Abdelrahman is also the author of the only good guidebook to Dendera – Dendera: Land of the Goddess. He has an MA in Archaeology and History and reads the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs fluently. He’s also a super nice, reliable guy.”

The Transportation Was Very Comfortable
“We are so happy with this tour and the fact that Abdel was our guide! He was explaining everything in detail and provided answers to all our questions (which were a lot!). The transportation was also very comfortable, we enjoyed the fact that the driver was playing some French music (which we happen to like). Excellent value for money, don’t hesitate to book!”
